Michael Perron

Michael Perron currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Canopy Growth, overseeing the company’s global operations across cultivation, manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution. In his role, Michael is responsible for driving operational alignment and execution across Canopy Growth’s international footprint, supporting the integration of acquired businesses, and advancing the company’s broader transformation focused on efficiency and scalable growth.

Michael joined Canopy Growth through the acquisition of MTL Cannabis, where he served as Chief Executive Officer and led the business through a period of operational refinement and strategic repositioning. His appointment as COO reflects Canopy Growth’s focus on strengthening operational leadership and integrating best-in-class capabilities across its platform.

Prior to MTL, Michael operated a national advisory firm supporting corporate development and operational initiatives for clients across multiple sectors in Canada. He previously served as Vice President, Business Development at MediPharm Labs, where he helped build and scale domestic and international commercial channels during a period of rapid growth. Earlier in his career, Michael held senior advisory and leadership roles at MNP LLP, supporting complex financial, operational, and strategic mandates.

Michael earned a Master of Accounting from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Jamestown. He has also earned his CPA (California) designation.
